Our orthopedic follow up team just finished its works in Kurdistan. They provided rehabilitation services for our postoperative patients who had surgeries in February. Most of our patients had excellent results. Three had superficial wound infections which cleared up after treatment. Although many patients currently need braces and walking aids for ambulation, most of them will be able to walk independently without any walking aid later after they completed rehabilitation programs. They will then be more independent in their daily living.
We have plan to send another medical team to serve the Yazidi refugees from September 18 to October 1, 2022. We are actively recruiting medical and nonmedical volunteers including nurses, nursing aides, logistic supports, and photographer.
