HIS Foundation provides training of local medical workers. This is an important part of our program so that long-term care can be rendered by local personnel. In the past, we have trained orthotists in China, and they were able to make most of the braces we needed for our patients in China.
Training of Local Medical Workers:
In Kurdistan (Northern Iraq), we train community health workers, and they assist our physical therapists in the rehabilitation programs including home therapy.
We also train operation room assistants, who will be able to help our nurses and anesthesiologists in various types of duties.
